The Great Museum Design Challenge – 26th November 2018

The Trust have great pleasure in inviting Doncaster primary schools to take part in our annual design competition.

Once again, Doncaster’s famous Mansion House will be hosting teams from local primary schools to compete to create wonderful new architecture for our town. Last year’s event was attended by over 100 children with their teachers who were joined by students from Sheffield School of Architecture to make plans and models for a 21st Century version of the Mansion House.

This year the theme is to design a new museum and art gallery. The timing couldn’t be better since Doncaster Council have plans to build such a facility.

Children will have the opportunity to explore new architectural styles, see what the council is planning and make plans of their own with the help of the university students.

Last year’s event was a lot of fun and we like to think that the children came away with useful new knowledge about the built environment.

The deadline for registration is 12th October.

Full details are provided on the flyer.
